What Molecules Cannot Absorb Infrared Light? [Solved]
So, even though nitrogen and oxygen are the most abundant gases in our atmosphere, they don’t absorb infrared radiation. But CO2 does - it can vibrate in a way that allows it to capture those IR photons. Pretty cool, huh?
