What Items Should Not Be Thrown Away? [Solved]

Don’t just toss those lightbulbs, thermometers, fire and carbon monoxide detectors, batteries, paint, oils, clothing and electronics in the trash! Instead of throwing them away, you can recycle or reuse them. LEDs and CFLs are becoming more popular these days - so make sure to recycle those lightbulbs. You can also take mercury thermometers to a hazardous waste facility for proper disposal. Fire and carbon monoxide detectors should be recycled too - check with your local recycling center for details. Batteries should be taken to a battery recycling center; paint can be donated or taken to a hazardous waste facility; oils can be recycled at an oil-recycling center; clothing can be donated or sold at consignment stores; and electronics should also be recycled at an e-waste facility. So don’t just throw ’em out - there are plenty of ways to recycle or reuse these items!
